This requires cloning the repo from the command line first, but it’s still handy if you mainly use GitHub. Despite being called GitHub Desktop, this app can also work with repositories on GitLab, Bitbucket, and other places. If you mainly use Git to interact with GitHub repositories, then GitHub’s own client should be one of your first choices. Before you start trying out clients randomly, give a few of these a shot.
